In spite of the tremendous loss, Terri was moved by the overwhelming support she received from individuals all over the world. “No one would’ve been more surprised than Steve at the outpouring of grief and love,” she pointed out. In Steve’s mind, the word “famous” was not even a possibility. We did give whatever we made for wildlife and still do back into conservation, and I am really pleased of that. He was never pretentious, and he never made a big deal out of himself. I appreciated that about him.
